Example
This is a general example of the service. It is not a completed Dynamic Roofing project.
Roof Replacement Example
This page describes a roof replacement in general. It starts with an inspection and an honest assessment of whether the roof still has useful life. It is not a record of a completed job.
- Service
- Roof Replacement
- Starts with
- An inspection and an honest assessment
- Can include
- Tear-off, underlayment, flashing, and the chosen roofing material
When this comes up
Replacement is the conversation when a roof has reached the end of its useful life: multiple failures across different areas, widespread shingle deterioration, or a structure compromised by repeated storms. If the same spots are patched over and over, replacement may cost less over time. A repair is the recommendation when a repair solves the problem.
What the work can include
- 1Full tear-off and disposal of the old roof.
- 2Inspection of the decking underneath.
- 3New underlayment and ice-and-water shield in vulnerable areas.
- 4New flashing as needed.
- 5Installation of the chosen roofing material.
- 6Protection of the property during tear-off, nail collection, and cleanup.
What it is for
Whether to replace the roof depends on the inspection. If a repair solves the problem, that is the recommendation. If replacement is needed, the work is the tear-off, the layers underneath, flashing as needed, and the chosen material, with cleanup when the crew leaves.
