Roof Replacement in Chattanooga
A roof replacement is a major investment, and it should only happen when it is actually necessary. We will inspect your roof, give you an honest assessment of its remaining life, and tell you whether a replacement makes sense — or whether a repair will get you through.
When replacement is the right call
Replacement makes sense when the roof has reached the end of its useful life — multiple failures across different areas, widespread shingle deterioration, or a structure that has been compromised by repeated storms. If repairs are patching the same spots over and over, replacement may cost less in the long run. If you want the decision laid out before the visit, see how to know whether a roof needs repair or replacement.
We will never push a replacement when a repair solves the problem. But when replacement is genuinely needed, we do it right: quality materials, proper underlayment, correct flashing, and a clean job site from start to finish.
What a Dynamic replacement includes
Full tear-off and disposal of the old roof, inspection of the decking underneath, new underlayment and ice-and-water shield in vulnerable areas, new flashing as needed, and installation of your chosen roofing material. We protect your property during tear-off, use magnetic tools to collect nails, and do a thorough cleanup afterward.
One customer told us we completed their roof in a single day, protected everything during the tear-off, cleaned up so well they could not tell we had been there, and offered the best price out of five quotes they received.
Working with your insurance company
If your roof needs replacement due to storm damage, we can help document the damage and work with your insurance adjuster. We cannot guarantee what your insurance will cover, but we can make sure the damage is properly documented and the process is explained clearly.

Common questions
Questions homeowners ask about roof replacement
How do I know when a roof needs replacement?
Replacement makes sense when the roof has reached the end of its useful life: repeated leaks in different areas, widespread shingle deterioration, or a roof that storms have compromised in more than one place. If you are repairing the same spots again and again, a new roof may cost less over time than another patch. We inspect first and tell you if a repair will still get you through. Age alone is not the decision.
Can part of a roof be replaced instead of the whole roof?
Sometimes. If one slope was damaged and the other slopes are still in good shape, replacing only the damaged section can be the right repair. That works when matching material is available and the rest of the roof is not failing. If the shingles are worn everywhere, a partial replacement can leave you with a seam between new and old material that does not last. We explain which situation you are in before any tear-off. A smaller roof repair is still an option when the damage is truly local.
What happens during a roof replacement?
A full replacement includes tear-off and disposal of the old roof, a look at the decking underneath, new underlayment, ice-and-water shield in vulnerable areas, new flashing where it is needed, and installation of the roofing material you chose. We protect the property during tear-off and clean up afterward, including nails. If we uncover damaged decking, we stop and talk with you before doing more than we planned.
How long does a roof replacement take?
There is no single schedule that fits every house. Roof size, steepness, damaged decking, and weather all change the work. Some Chattanooga-area home projects have been finished in a day. A larger roof, or one that needs deck repairs, takes longer. We tell you what we expect after the inspection, and we do not treat a one-day story as a promise for your roof.
What should I do to get ready for a roof replacement?
Move vehicles away from the house so crews can stage materials and protect the driveway. Take down fragile items on walls if the house will be walked on overhead, and clear the attic access if we need to see the deck from inside. Tell us about pets, gates, and anything stored against the house. We cover and clean as we go, but a clear work area makes the day safer for your property.
Does storm damage always mean the roof must be replaced?
No. Wind or hail can ruin one slope and leave the rest of the roof usable. We inspect, photograph, and explain whether a repair, a partial replacement, or a full replacement matches what we found. If insurance is involved, we can document the damage and meet an adjuster on site. We cannot say what a policy will pay. More of that process is on our storm damage page.
