Wind Damage Roof Repair in Chattanooga

Chattanooga sees its share of high winds, and wind damage does not always mean a full roof replacement. Shingles get lifted, creased, or blown off entirely — often in isolated sections. The key is catching it before water finds its way in.

Wind damage is not always obvious from the ground

A shingle that has been lifted and creased by wind may still be sitting on your roof, but the seal is broken. The next rain gets underneath. That is why a physical inspection matters — we check for creased, lifted, or missing shingles and document each one. The storm damage roof inspection guide explains what that visit is looking for.

If the damage is limited to one slope or section, we can often repair just that area with matching shingles. If the creasing is widespread, replacement may make more sense. We will show you the photos and let you decide.

Insurance claims for wind damage

Dynamic can help document wind damage, explain the roofing findings, and stay involved through the insurance process, including communication about the roofing work. Your insurance carrier determines coverage and payment. We do not guarantee claim approval, and we do not decide what the policy covers.

Common questions

Questions homeowners ask about wind damage

What does wind damage look like?

Wind lifts shingle tabs, creases them, or blows them off the roof. A lifted shingle may still be sitting in place with a broken seal. From the yard that can look like nothing. On the roof you can see creases, exposed nail lines, and missing pieces, often on the slopes that face the wind. We check those areas in person and photograph what we find.

Can lifted shingles cause leaks later?

Yes. Once the seal is broken, the next rain can get underneath even if the shingle has not blown away. The leak may show up at a ceiling stain that does not line up with the damaged tab. Catching lifted and creased shingles before that happens is the reason to inspect after high wind around Chattanooga, not only after shingles land in the grass.

Can only part of a wind-damaged roof be repaired?

If the creasing or missing shingles are limited to one slope or section, we can often repair that area with matching shingles. If the creasing runs across the roof, replacement may be the clearer option. We show you the photos and let you decide with the findings in front of you. More on isolated repairs is on our roof repair page.

Should I have the roof checked if shingles are in the yard?

Yes. Shingles on the ground mean something on the roof is open. The pieces in the yard do not show whether the damage stopped at one tab or continued up the slope. A roof inspection is how we see the rest of that slope and the other sides of the house. Do not assume the loose pieces are the whole story.

Can wind damage exist even if the shingles are still attached?

It can. A creased shingle that never left the roof still has a broken seal. The next rain uses that gap. This is the damage people miss from the ground, and it is why we do not rely on a driveway look after a windstorm. We document each lifted or creased area so you can see it yourself.
